Global electrification major. Typically specified on large infrastructure and fleet projects rather than single-site installations.

What they build

  • DC fast 30 to 120 kW CCS2 chargers for public sites, petrol pumps and highway stops.
  • DC high power 150 kW and above, including split cabinet and dispenser systems.
  • Bus, truck and fleet Depot charging, pantograph and heavy multi-gun systems for commercial fleets.

We have not yet confirmed this entry directly with ABB India. The categories above reflect the equipment class they are known to build; specification, availability and lead time come from them on the call.

Getting a price

We do not publish prices for ABB India or anyone else. What their equipment costs you depends on specification, order quantity, warranty terms and how much electrical work your site needs — a published band would be wrong for almost every buyer, and marking it up would make us the wrong kind of middleman.

Tell us what you are building. We confirm the requirement on a call, then introduce you to ABB India directly, and they quote the project. Free for buyers.

Charger classes ABB India builds for

Specifications for the kinds of unit this manufacturer supplies. Use them to work out what to ask for before the call.

Charger Power Connector Supply Best for
DC 30 kW fast charger 30 kW CCS2 Three phase Small commercial sites, dealerships, single-gun captive use
DC 60 kW dual-gun 60 kW CCS2 × 2 Three phase Public stations, petrol pumps, highway sites, hotels
DC 120 kW dual-gun 120 kW CCS2 × 2 Three phase Highway corridors, high-footfall urban hubs
DC 240 kW multi-gun 240 kW CCS2 × 2–4 Three phase Bus and truck depots, large highway plazas, fleet hubs

What sits on top of the equipment

Whatever ABB India quotes for the hardware, these lines are yours to budget for. They depend on your site, not on the manufacturer — and they are the usual reason a project costs more than the quote suggested.

What a 60 kW DC station costs you beyond the equipment, India, 2026
What you are paying for Low High Why it moves
Civil work, canopy, foundation, cabling ₹1.5 L ₹3.0 L Higher if you want weather protection and lighting, which you should.
Transformer or sanctioned load upgrade ₹1.0 L ₹4.0 L The single most common budget shock. Depends entirely on your existing feeder.
DISCOM commercial connection, deposits, liaisoning ₹0.50 L ₹2.0 L Security deposit scales with sanctioned load and is refundable but ties up cash.
Network software, signage, commissioning, first-year AMC ₹0.40 L ₹1.5 L Platform commission on every unit sold is separate and ongoing.
Site works, before equipment ₹3.4 L ₹10.5 L Add the manufacturer's equipment quote to this. Compare the total, never the hardware alone.

Questions about ABB India

What does ABB India manufacture?

ABB India builds dc fast, dc high power, bus, truck and fleet charging equipment. Global electrification major. Typically specified on large infrastructure and fleet projects rather than single-site installations.

How do I get a price from ABB India?

Tell us about your site — where it is, what you are building, your sanctioned load and your timeline — and we introduce you to ABB India directly. They quote you against your actual project. We do not publish or mark up prices, because what a charger costs depends on specification, order size and the electrical work your site needs.

Does it cost anything to be introduced to ABB India?

No. Buyers never pay us. Manufacturers pay a commission when a deal closes.

What is OCPP and why does it matter?

OCPP is the open protocol that lets a charger talk to any management platform, and insisting on OCPP 1.6J or higher is what stops you being locked to one vendor. A non-OCPP charger can only be managed by its manufacturer's software, so if you ever want to switch networks, change pricing logic, or join an aggregator app, you cannot. It costs nothing extra to specify. Ask for it in writing.

What hidden costs should I expect beyond the charger price?

Four things that vendors routinely quote separately or not at all: the transformer or sanctioned load upgrade, the DISCOM security deposit, demand charges on your monthly bill, and platform commission on every unit you sell. Demand charges in particular catch people out — a commercial connection bills you on your peak sanctioned demand whether you use it or not, so an underutilised 120 kW connection bleeds money every month. Always compare landed cost and monthly fixed cost, never just hardware price.
